Will Smith Hints At Music Comeback

Will Smith has been all over talk shows lately for his upcoming movie “Focus.” The film features Smith as a veteran con man, and costars Margot Robbie (Wolf of Wall Street). But his new movie is not what’s generating the most buzz on this media tour. More interesting is that it seems Smith has been subtly hinting at a music comeback.

Let’s just take a look at the evidence here.

February 5th: Smith is a guest on The Tonight Show. Jimmy Fallon and Smith beatbox “It Takes Two.”

February 12th: In an interview, Smith tells The Guardian that he has been in the studio recording with Kanye West. “I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet but I’m exploring.”

February 19th: Big Willy gets “Jiggy Wit It” on the Late Show with David Letterman.

February 24th: Smith goes back to his Fresh Prince roots and raps the theme song on Ellen.

It’s been 10 years since Smith has made an album and 16 years since he has put out an album worth listening to, so he might have trouble regaining his relevancy in the hip-hop world. With that said, working with Kanye is a good start, and adding other big-name acts to his stable would only help. You know his kids might make an appearance on a new album, which unfortunately might be the biggest downfall. We don’t need Willow Smith whipping her hair, or the inclusion of any weird out-of-this-world lyrics by Jaden Smith. Let us hope for the best!

Ohh and here is a little Will Smith bonus for ya: Bad Boys 3 is in the works!
